Disabled disallowed to teach in school

SHILLONG: A disabled woman allegedly faced discrimination as she was not allowed to teach at Mawlaiteng Govt LP School, outskirts of city since April this year due to her disability.
The police personnel at Lumdeingiri PS did not register her FIR on Friday after she went to register her complaint with her father.  The victim, Aidalin Nongrang (28) told the the police that she had faced harassment after some women in the area continuously mocked at her for her disability and even stopped her from teaching at the school.
