Felicitation
The State Council of Science, Technology & Environment, Meghalaya will felicitate the students who secured 100% marks in Science & Technology during the MBOSE SSLC Examination, 2015. Students meeting the criteria can submit a copy of the marksheet to the office of the RO incharge, State Council of Science, Technology & Environment, Meghalaya at Lower Lachumiere at the earliest.
Clarification
Meghalaya Health Care Association has clarified that it is the retailers and wholesellers dealing in medicines that will agitate on October 14 in Meghalaya and not pharmacists as reported.
Office bearers
The students of Shillong Polytechnic elected new office bearers to the Shillong Polytechnic Students’ Union (SPSU) on October 7. Longlang Malngiang was elected the general secretary, Rich Regan Lyngdoh, the assistant general secretary and Pynkmenlang L Lyngkhoi, the vigilance secretary.
Arms licence renewal
As per directions of the Government of India, the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has directed all arm license holders to renew their licenses and get their arms registered under National Database of Arms Licence (NDAL) if they had not done so before. All License holders are to comply with the notice within a month failing which their licence shall stand cancelled and weapons seized.
