SHILLONG: The team of the Education department which conducted an inquiry into the recent question paper leakage of the SSLC Test exam in Garo Hills has revealed that Rafiquel Haque, Headmaster of Rajabala Girls Secondary School, was involved in the leakage.
A copy of the resolution of the SSLC Test Board meeting which is available with The Shillong Times said that the meeting also asserted that the headmaster has confessed to his wrong doings in front of the team of the Education department on October 27.
The meeting based on the report of the inquiry team adopted a resolution during a meeting on Tuesday that they would request the DSEO, West Garo Hills to take all necessary action against the school, the headmaster and also the school managing committee.        The meeting also resolved that the DSEO should request the joint Director of School Education to de-recognize the school and also revoke the affiliation of the school from Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE).
When contacted, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi said an FIR will be filed against the headmaster.
It may be mentioned that the general secretary of Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers’ Association (GHDSTEA) had earlier mailed a scanned copy of the MIL (Assamese) question paper to The Shillong Times claiming that the papers have been leaked. He also claimed that question papers of six subjects had been leaked.
