Morgan Freeman shoots in Varansi
Veteran Hollywood star Morgan Freeman was in the holy city of Varansi to shoot a documentary. The 78-year-old Oscar-winning actor was filming Nat Geo’s The Story of God series, an expansive documentary that explores the quest of human being to understand the divine. The Shawshank Redemption star shot the portions of the project with the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje and also interviwed him yesterday. Wearing a blue kurta, comfort fit bottoms and a white hat, Freeman was spotted shooting at Vajra Vidya Sansthan and in Sarnath. The Story of God follows Freeman as he goes on an exploration and intimate reflection on God, immersing himself in religious experiences around the globe. Apart from serving as the host, the actor is also executive producing the series. The Story of God is slated to air in 2016. (PTI)
Deepika finds Ranveer’s look in Bajirao Mastani ‘hot’
Actress Deepika Padukone has openly called her Ba jirao Mastani co-star Ranveer Singh “hot” on mi cro-blogging site Twitter. Deepika, 29, who has always been tight-lipped about her alleged romace with Ranveer, finally reciprocated the fondness as she tweeted the actor’s solo poster along with heart-eyed emoticons. “Hello Hotness! #BajiraoMastani @RanveerOfficial,” she captioned the pic. The Piku star and Ranveer, 30, who came close during the shoot of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, had earlier praised each others work on Twitter. In Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer plays the mighty Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao while Deepika will be seen donning the role of his second wife Mastani. Also starring Priyanka Chopra as Kashi Bai (Bajirao’s first wife), the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film will hit theatres on December 18. (PTI)
Kris Jenner being sued for ‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ app
Reality TV star Kris Jenner is being sued for alleged ly stealing ideas for daughter Kim Kardashian West’s video game. Jenner has had a lawsuit filed against her by game developers Kung Fu Factory, who accuse her of ripping off their ideas for Kim’s USD 200 million mobile app, reported TMZ. Kung Fu claimed they presented a copyrighted proposal for the app that was seen by Kris’ camp in 2011 and was “very specific”, including how the reality TV star’s fans would play the game and how characters would appear. The suit added after a significant amount of time had passed the talks had gone “dead” and the makers were told Kris was no longer interested in launching a game. However, ‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ was then launched in 2014 and Kung Fu say it has many similarities to their copyrighted proposal. The app allows users to interact with Kim and her siblings through their virtual character, who can wear designer clothes and change their hair everyday. Meanwhile, Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has been officially added to the game. (PTI)
