SHILLONG: Unidentified persons have threatened an RTI activist Hopingstone Marsharing for seeking information on Mawpat forest.   According to the FIR filed by Marsharing, on September 28, three unidentified persons threatened him with dire consequences at Motphran, Shillong if he fails to withdraw the RTI application he filed seeking information on Mawpat Forest. When contacted, police said that the FIR was forwarded by the Chief Information Commissioner and the complainant was yet to come to police station to provide the necessary information.
