Cong boost for HSPDP

NONGSTOIN: HSPDP candidate for Nongstoin by-poll Dios Jyndiang on Wednesday received shot in the arm when over hundred members of Congress led by Hammerlessroy Thabah, a close associate of Adviser Pariong, joined the party.
Chairing a meeting attended by Congress primary unit members and HSPDP leaders including  KP Pangniang at Free Morning School Nongstoin, Thabah said that the meeting was convened to discuss and decide on what role they can play in the upcoming by-poll scheduled for November 21.
According to Thabah, members of different primary units of Congress were disappointed by the way the Congress high command allotted party ticket to Gabriel Wahlang.
He added that the intention of convening the meet was to express discontentment over ticket allotment to Wahlang.
Thabah said that most of the Congress primary units in Nongstoin were confused as to whom they should support since they were not willing  to cooperate with the Congress party this time “But a ray of hope came after Dios Jyndiang along with HSPDP workers accepted the offers made by the congress faction”, Thabah said.
HSPDP candidate Jyndiang appreciated the stand of Thabah and his followers.
Jyndiang assured that he along with the party workers will work together taking up various developmental schemes in Nongstoin.    According to sources, following allotment of ticket to Wahlang, as many 20 primary units of the Congress refused to support Wahlang in the by-poll.
