Fake medical seat offer: Man duped of over Rs 25 lakh

SHILLONG: A man from New Delhi has allegedly duped a person in West Jaintia Hills promising him a medical seat for his daughter.
West Jaintia Hills SP R Muthu said that the affected person, Comely War of Wahiajer lodged a complaint that between June 5 and September 7 this year, one Anuj Kumar Hazarika cheated him of Rs. 25,50,000 with a promise to help him secure a medical seat for his daughter. The SP also said that the police had received a similar complaint against the same accused. The police have registered a case in this regard.
