Gang member arrested  
On December 18, Police arrested a member of a kidnapper’s gang Wilneng Ch. Marak (25) from Bajengdoba (NGH). The gang operate in Selsella area (WGH).
Woman, minor boy knocked down
On December 17 at around 10.30 am, one bus (ML-05G-7007) knocked down a woman identified as Ruki Dkhar (26) at Anjali parking lot. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital.
On December 16 at around 10 am, one Hyundai Santro car (AS-01K-9156) knocked down one minor boy Shanbor Pariong (12) at Markasa village (WKH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
Drug peddler arrested
On December 15 at around 4 pm, acting on inputs, Police arrested two persons viz., Ebor Langstieh and Arwotki Shullai from a Tata Nano (ML-04-9809) at Wahthapbru, Shillong and seized one cigarette packet containing four wrapped-up papers containing orange powder suspected to be heroin from their possession. Later, based on their interrogation, Police arrested the drug peddler namely, Damanlang Kyndiah.
Driver injured  
On December 16 at around 5.30 pm, one Tata Sumo (ML-05M-1185) driven by Donbok Lyngdoh dashed against one auto-rickshaw (ML-10B-1638) driven by Philip Khongsngi at Umran, GS Road (RB). As a result, the driver of the auto-rickshaw sustained injuries and was admitted at Woodland Hospital.
ATM fraud 
Robin Das lodged a complaint that on December 14 at around 4.25 pm, he received one anonymous phone call, wherein the caller identified himself as one Rahul Sharma, employee of SBI Head Office, Shillong and asked about his Debit card details. Later, he found that Rs. 35,500 has been fraudulently debited from his account.
NGT ban violation continues
On December 14, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-09-1964), while it was transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Marakapara (WGH). On seeing the police, occupants of the truck fled away. However, Police managed to arrest one occupant (labourer) identified as  Rahim Badshah.
Theft cases
On December 17 at around 4 am, residents of Dhobighat, Laban apprehended one Waqul Ali (18) while he was committing theft in the shop of Borland Mynsong at the locality and handed him over to the Police.
On December 12 at around 6 pm, an unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-7519) belonging to Md. Abdul Rohim Sheikh from Lutubari village (SWGH)
On the night of December 14, one unknown miscreants stole two computer sets from MeECL office at Byrnihat (RB).
On December 13 morning, an unknown miscreants stole one Bolero (ML-05H-8645) belonging to Thomas Chyrmang from his residence at Mookhep village (EJH).
Suspected murderer arrested
On December 16, Police arrested one gang leader viz., Nurul Islam Akond (30) of South Salmara, Assam from Phulbari (WGH) suspected to be involved in abductions/murders, etc in the area.
Minor rides scooty
On December 19 at around 8 am, one scooty (ML-05M-5434) ridden by a seventeen year old girl dashed against one local taxi (ML-05J-5955) driven by Kyrshan Kupar Mawthoh at Lad Nongkrem (EKH). As a result, the scooty rider sustained injuries and was removed to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
Accident
On December 19 at around 3.15 pm, one Maruti Gypsy (ML-05L-1981) driven by Demitrius Swer (27 yrs) dashed against one Bolero vehicle (ML-04B-4799) driven by Bhumi Rabha (45 yrs) at Pomlaher, Mawryngkneng (EKH). As a result, driver of Maruti Gypsy sustained injuries and was removed to Bethany Hospital, Shillong.
