SHILLONG: As the NGT hearing related to the ban on coal mining remained inconclusive on Monday, the matter will be heard again on Tuesday.
While the deadline for the transportation of extracted coal and payment of royalty will be decided on Tuesday, the Counsel for the state government Ranjan Mukherjee will file an application before NGT on behalf of Finance department since the royalty amount of Rs 272 crore deposited in the current account is lying idle without any interest. The finance department through the affidavit wanted the money to be deposited to treasury.
