SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) will stage a public meeting in January to discuss the State Reservation Policy.
KHNAM general secretary, B. Wahlang, said the objective of the public meeting would be to pressurize the State government to review the reservation policy.
“We welcome like-minded people to give their suggestions on the subject. NGOs from Garo Hills were invited to discuss the matter but till date there was no response from them,” Wahlang added.
Adelbert Nongrum, KHNAM working president said that the matter will be taken up seriously and the party hopes to get the support of the people.
