One held for alleged rape, girl missing in SGH

SHILLONG: Police have arrested one person on charge of raping an 18-year-old girl, allegedly on December 20 at Umjaru village in West Khasi Hills. The accused has been identified as one Boinanwell Marwein (39).
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old girl was reported to be missing from Baghmara.
One Bakka Sangma of Dalu, Chaipani in West Garo Hills District lodged a complaint that her daughter Sopram Sangma (18) was found missing from Baghmara area in South Garo Hills since December 16.
