Tura MP adopts Dingok- Chenggalma village

SHILLONG: Tura MP, PA Sangma has adopted Dingok- Chenggalma village under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana and ‘Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan Diwas’ which was organised by Kishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR, Tura in the village under North Garo Hills on December 23 as part of Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan week to be observed from December 23 to 29 for motivating farmers to adopt modern scientific technologies.
Horticulture official A. S. Singh briefed farmers about the concept of “Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan” and promised them new technological interventions will be taken up in the adopted village for their benefit. He also explained about various technologies and interventions available with KVK and how it will help them to attain sustainability.
A farmers- scientist interaction was also organised during the occasion and seeds of watermelon and Dolicos bean were distributed among the participants. A total of 46 farmers from 3 villages participated in the programme.
