Alleged fraud by shop owners

SHILLONG: A petitioner has alleged that owners of as many as 16 shops inside one San Mala Building (1st floor) at Khliehriat, possessed more than one trading license.
The petitioner who did not wished to be identified said that apart from the trading license, the shops are obtaining more than one bank loan, by approaching different banks under the same trading License which is against bank rules and regulations. A request for necessary action has also been sent to the Chairman of Reserve Bank of India and Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District by the petitioner.
