One dies as fire breaks out in residential area

SHILLONG: A person died after a fire broke out in a residential area in Polo on Saturday.
According to reports, the fire which broke out was due to short circuit as per preliminary report, stared from a rented house at Polo where three families reside.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Thapa.
The fire fighting team had a difficult time dousing the fire and it was learnt that two firemen too sustained minor burn injuries.
