Firemen show camaraderie on duty

SHILLONG: In a tale of sacrifice, a fireman pushed aside his fellow colleague to protect him from a collapsing wall even as he was himself injured in the process. The duo was engaged in dousing the fire that broke out in a residential area in Polo on Saturday night which led to the death of one Rajesh Thapa. Fireman Anand Tamang pushed aside his colleague E Suting who also received minor injuries. Sources said that although Tamang is recovering, it will be sometime before he joins duty again.
