SHILLONG: Concerned over the delay on the part of the state government to approve the name of   Conrad Sangma as nominated MDC even after two months, a delegation of GHADC will meet Chief Minister Mukul Sangma shortly.
The GHADC CEM Denang Sangma said that the delegation will meet the Chief Minister to apprise him about the delay in giving clearance to the name of nominated MDC.
There are allegations from the principal rival part NPP that it was the Chief Minister who wants to delay the process considering the political angle since this will be an opportunity for NPP to strengthen its base in Garo Hills.
The GHADC had forwarded the name of Conrad on November 3 to the district council affairs department for its approval, but in vain as the department is yet to send the name to the Governor for the final nod.
