SHILLONG: One person succumbed to his injuries after one truck (ML-05H-6445) loaded with round logs fell into a gorge at Niangdai village in Umiam. Police said that the incident happened on Tuesday when one truck (ML-05H-6445) loaded with round logs fell into a gorge at Niangdai village under Umiam PS. In the incident, five occupants sustained injuries and were admitted at CH Shillong, where one of the injured occupants Liverson Nongsiej (35) succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
