SHILLONG: The State government has effected a major reshuffle in the Police department with some officers getting their promotion.
As per the official notification issued on Wednesday, J.F.K. Marak, Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion, has been transferred as Commandant, SF 10. Herbert Lyngdoh, Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion, has been transferred as SP of South West Khasi Hills.
The notification states that South Garo Hills SP Lakador Syiem has been transferred as Principal, Police Training School, Meghalaya, while Nazarius Lamare, 2nd in command, 6th MLP Battalion, has been transferred as SP (R/PR), Meghalaya.
In addition, B. Laloo, Addl. SP, South West Khasi Hills, has been transferred as Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, while Atul Baruah, DSP (Headquarters), West Khasi Hills, has been transferred as Asst. Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion.
Rupam R. Marak, Asst. Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, has been transferred as DSP (Headquarters), West Khasi Hills, and will replace Chauenlai Sangma who has been transferred as Asst. Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion.
F.D. Sangma, IGP (SB/BDR) and in charge Western Range, has been relieved of his additional charge as DIG (WR), Tura.
H. Nongpluh, IGP (Admin) and in charge Eastern Range, has been transferred as IGP (CID), Shillong, while O. Pasi, SP (R/PR), has been transferred as Asst. Inspector General of Police (L&O).
The notification further adds that F.G. Kharshiing, Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, has been transferred as Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion.
Aditya Goenka, SP of South West Garo Hills, has been transferred as Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, while Raghavendra Kumar, SP of South West Khasi Hills, has been transferred to North Garo Hills in the same position to replace Ramesh Singh who has been transferred to South West Garo Hills.
Anand Mishra, Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, has been posted in as SP of South Garo Hills, while Rituraj Ravi, Asst. SP, South West Garo Hills, has been transferred as Sub Divisional Police Officer of Dadenggre in West Garo Hills.
Among the officers who have received promotions are Vivekananda, Sub Divisional Police Official, Dadenggre, who has been promoted as Deputy Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion.
Similarly, A.R. Mawthoh, Commandant, SF 10 and S.S. Kynjing, Principal, Police Training School, Shillong, have been promoted to the rank of DIG.
Mawthoh has now been posted as DIG, Eastern Range, while Kynjing has been posted as DIG, Western Range.
C.V.S. Reddy, Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, has been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade of IPS and has been posted as Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion.
