Imphal: BJP MLA Kh Joykishan was arrested on Saturday by police when he was staging a protest along with his supporters against the decision of the government to construct temporary market shed in the middle of the main road in the busy Thangal bazaar areas.
Eight persons were injured in the scuffle between police and protestors.
All those injured had serious injuries caused by tear gas shells, rubber bullet and water cannon. (UNI)
