4 women held for alleged flesh trade

JOWAI: The women’s wing of the Jaintia National Volunteer (JNV) on Sunday apprehended four young women including a pimp for their alleged involvement in flesh trade.
JNV leaders informed that they were led to the pimp identified as Ngenioh Dkhar of Barato village and three others who came to Syntu Ksiar by a person who agreed to pay them Rs 2000 each.
The JNV later handed them over to Jowai Police for further interrogation.
