ASAK ultras held, two crude bombs recovered

TURA: Two militants from the ASAK rebel group have been arrested from Mukdangra area of Garobadha and two crude bombs recovered from their possession on Thursday.
Ongoing counter insurgency operations against ASAK militants had been taking place for the last few days in the areas of Dombagre, Wadagre, Mellim, Bolchugre and Rangsakona.
On Thursday police operations team based in Garobadha received intelligence about presence of ASAK militants in the area. They raided Nogapara village near Mukdangra and arrested two hardcore militants identified as Chiang Ch Sangma and Walnen A Sangma and recovered two crude bombs.
The arrested militants revealed that they were part of ASAK’s western area command under the leadership of senior ASAK commander Harara.
