Assault
On February 3 around 5 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Roberson Basan (35) at Umpung village under Dangar OP (East Khasi Hills).
Body recovered
On February 2 around 3 pm, dead body of Shri Plaining Shadap (30 years) was recovered from Umbir River between Lamalong and Ja-ir village (Ri-Bhoi).
Theft
Evadaki War lodged a complaint that on January 26 around 11 am, unknown miscreant (s) stole her purse containing, (1) one cell phone, (2) ATM card, (3) EPIC and (4) cash Rs. 5,000 while attending the Republic day celebrations at Polo, Shillong. On January 27, she found that Rs. 5,000 has been fraudulently withdrawn from her SBI account.
Son threatens mother
Wanroy Lakhon lodged a complaint that on February 1, her son Stingjoit Lakhon threatened her and her family members at Muphlang village (WJH) with dire consequences.
