SHILLONG: The NEHU SAI, Special Area Games might have been a doubtful host for the badminton event a month ago but for Indian shuttler HS Prannoy was pleasantly surprised to see the facilities at the venue which he felt was as good as most places. The World No. 12, Prannoy was happy to be a part of the 12th South Asian Games in Shillong and said that despite being clear favourites India can’t afford to be complacent at any stage. He was also hopeful about India’s chances in the upcoming Thomas and Uber Cup. The team has been really doing well in the last six to seven months. We certainly stand a chance to win a medal (in the Thomas and Uber Cup),” he said.
