The Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi, has informed that there is a restriction on use of loud speakers/ PA systems and other sound producing instruments which causes noise pollution and disturbance to public, particularly at night except in closed premises or any emergency and with permission from the authority. Sound emitting workshops/ construction places should install acoustic shed to control noise pollution and stop operations at night time in residential areas.
Lok Adalat
The office of the District & Sessions Judge, Ri Bhoi, in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong will organize a monthly national Lok Adalat on bank matters, NI Act, recovery suits etc., at the office of the District and Sessions Judge, Ri Bhoi, on February 13 from 10 AM.
Midday meal
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Jaintia Hills, has informed that midday meal rice for LP and UP schools for the month of October, November and December, 2015 is being distributed from February 10 through their respective FPS dealers for Jowai Sadar and will be delivered free of cost to the schools. Scale of issue for LP schools will be 4.118 kg per student and 6.588 kg per student for UP schools. Necessary permit will be issued up to March 30.
Postponed
