BJP to contest KHADC by-elections

SHILLONG: The KHADC by-polls for seven vacant seats is all set to become a multi- cornered battle as The BJP has decided to jump into the fray.
With the BJP’s decision to contest the by-polls, the election, due to be announced soon, is all set to heat up with Congress, UDP, KHNAM and HSPDP already in the fray.
The decision to contest the KHADC by-elections was taken in a party meeting held on Thursday.
BJP has asked party members interested in contesting the election to contact their local unit or mandal before sending their application to the state office.
