Workshop on ‘participatory groundwater management & springshed development’

SHILLONG: The regional training workshop on “Participatory Groundwater Management & Springshed Development” is being held at the Conservation Training Institute, Byrnihat.
The 12-day workshop (February 16- 27) is being organised by People’s Science Institute (PSI),  Dehradun in collaboration with the Government of Meghalaya, Department of Soil and Water  Conservation and financially supported by Arghyam, Bengaluru.
As many as 24 participants representing Government of Meghalaya, Soil and Water Conservation Department, Meghalaya Water Resources Development Agency (MeWDA), Meghalaya Water Pollution Control Board, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), among others are taking part in the workshop which aims to impart training in “Participatory Groundwater Management & Springshed Development” involving the local communities.
