Vehicle theft
On February 17 night, miscreants stole one Bolero (AS-01GC-2965) belonging to Deepak Jammar from 8th Mile, Baridua (Ri-Bhoi).
Contractor robbed
One Rajesh Kumar Pandey lodged a complaint (February 17) that between January 24 and February 16, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-1205), one laptop valued around Rs. 42,000, contractor license and labour License from his house at Anandamath, Tura (West Garo Hills). The miscreants also damaged one TV set and one steel almirah.
Bike stolen
On February 15 night, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-7189) belonging to Pilush G Momin from Forest Colony, Tura (West Garo Hills).
Driver, handyman assaulted, robbed
Khaining Lyngdoh, general secretary Ri Khasi Truck Drivers’ Association lodged a complaint that on February 16 at around 1 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Puson Rai, driver of truck (AS-01BC-3888) and his handyman at Langumshing (West Khasi Hills) and robbed them of cash Rs. 39,000 and two cell phones.
Assault
One Jinna N Sangma lodged a complaint that on February 15 at about 6.30 pm, three unidentified miscreants forcibly took her husband Appu Marak from Bawegre village (East Garo Hills) to Bansamgre area (East Garo Hills), assaulted him and also looted Rs. 51,000 from him.
One Erilis Jala lodged a complaint that on February 2, a person identified as Sunita Boro assaulted her at Dhankheti, Shillong.
Fraud
One Brilliar Ch Sangma of Lower Burny Hills, Tura (West Garo Hills) lodged a complaint (February 16) that during the year 2011, one Joynath D Sangma took Rs. 16.20 lakh from him with an agreement to share the profit generated from coal business. However, till date Joynath neither shared the profits nor returned the principal amount.
Truck driver missing
One Andhesh Pathak lodged a complaint that on February 15, his coal laden truck (AS-01DC-6756) driven by Ajay Rai, left Shi Kilo, Sutnga Road (East Jaintia Hills) for Beltola, Assam. However, till date the truck has not reached its destination.
