Power supply disrupted in city

SHILLONG: Power supply was disrupted in several localities on Monday due to strong winds that hit the city on Sunday and continued till Monday afternoon.
MeECL officials informed that a tree fell down near Rhino Point affecting the power supply in several areas. In addition, the Keating road substation was also affected and areas like Upper Lachumiere, St Anthony’s College, PGT College, Laitumkhrah among others witnessed power disruptions.  MeECL men had to work for hours to ensure that the supply is restored.
