GHADC ties up with Hyderabad group for financial reforms

SHILLONG:  The Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) has decided to work with Center for Good Governance (CCG), Hyderabad,Telengana, to initiate financial and administrative reforms in the GHADC.
A team consisting Shabbeer Shaikh Director (Gov & UMRG), CGG Hyderabad and P. V. Varada Raju Associate Director OMRG (Organizational Mgmt Resource Group), had visited Tura last week and had spent three days to do an initial study of the working of the GHADC.
A statement in this regard issued here on Sunday said that post this, the CGG will be submitting a report on the reforms process which should be starting in a few weeks time, and which might take at least 6 to 12 months depending on the scope of work.
During the stay, CGG representatives met concerned EMs and officials of all the departments of the GHADC to get first hand information of the current working system.
Last week’s study was simply to get a basic understanding of the process, but a detailed study on the current system and recommendations on how to improve the overall functioning on the GHADC will be done at a later stage.
CGG has been working for a number of years with different departments of different State Governments. Some of the states include Telengana, Andra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan among other states.
CGG, which is a part of Government of Telengana, specializes in areas of Administrative reforms, Financial reforms and E-Governance, and they will be working closely to bring such reforms in a  phase wise manner in the GHADC.
