Bhopal to host festival on Sacred Groves

SHILLONG: A festival on the Sacred Groves of Meghalaya will be held from March 4 to 6 at Bhopal, thanks to the initiative of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.
The rituals associated with the Sacred Groves will mark the festival to be held at the Rock Art Shelter Conference Hall, Bhopal.
A national seminar on theme ‘Conserving the Sacred Groves in North-East India: Perceptions, Practices and Policy Implications’ will also form part of the festival.
The sacred groves in Manipur will also be highlighted on the occasion.
