5-yr-old hit by dumper, dies

New Delhi:  A five-year-old boy was on Friday killed after he was hit by an MCD dumper near his house in East Delhi’s Mother Dairy area, police said.
Shivam was playing near his house when a dumper of municipal corporation hit him, a senior police official said. He was taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver flee from the spot leaving the vehicle behind. Search operation in the slum area has been launched to trace the culprit, police said.
“We have registered a case against the driver at the Patparganj police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. We are trying to trace the driver,” said B S Gurjar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East). (PTI)
