SHILLONG:  All Garo Hills Adhoc Governments Employees Association, Tura, has resolved to stage agitation starting with ‘black badge campaign’ from March 21 to 23 for the fulfillment of their various pending demands.
In a statement issued to the media, the president of All GH Adhoc Govt’ Employees Association Frederick R Marak said that one of the main demands of the Association include regularization of their service.
“Since most of the employees are seniors who have been rendering their duty faithfully, we demand regularization of our services”, the Association president said.
The Association also asked the government to release their pending salary in time without any further delay and wanted the government to extend their services without delay.
The Association reminded that the major demands were placed before the Chief Minister on March 1 at Tura.
“The same had been forwarded to some legislators urging them to raise our grievances in the ongoing state Assembly session”, the Association said.
According to the Association, the delay on the part of the government to address their various grievances has compelled them to resort to agitation.
