New rule to be declared after meeting on April 4

SHILLONG: Union HRD Minister Smriti Zubin Irani in her meeting with NEHUTA, the  teachers’ body of the University at NEHU on Tuesday announced the present system of assessment of teachers for open post selection/CAS promotion under API method will be replaced by one in which the assessment will focus and emphasise on teaching inputs and contribution to curriculum development among others.

According to the minister, the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission  have been sent to the Finance Ministry  and the UGC Review Committee will be set up after the file is received    from the Finance Ministry.
