Woman files harassment case against employer

SHILLONG: A woman employee of a tax practitioner in city has filed an FIR against the employer  for the alleged sexual harassment in the work place.
In the FIR lodged with the Sadar police station on Wednesday, the victim alleged that the tax practitioner B L Sharma has been harassing her for the last two weeks.
The victim alleged that the tax practitioner used to call her to his office at Police Bazar on Sundays to harass her which she had resisted on several occasions.
As per the FIR, after she refused to fulfill the wishes of her employer, he was asked not to come to the office any more.
The victim said that when she went to get her salary and certificate from the employer on Tuesday, she and her family were yet again harassed by him.
She sought proper inquiry into the matter by the police.
