Dry day in border

SHILLONG: The District Magistrate of West Jaintia Hills has declared April 4 as dry day in the area within 5 Kms of the Inter State border with Assam in view of the upcoming election to the Legislative Assembly being held in the state of Assam in order to ensure peaceful, free and fair conduct of election. All wine shops located within 5kms of the Inter State boundary with Assam shall remain closed on the  date.
