License required for use of copyrighted music

SHILLONG: The Assistant Area Manager, Phonographic Performance Ltd. (PPL) has stressed the need of getting license for usage of copyrighted music in public places.
According to PPL, there are certain individuals who have been spreading misinformation among the public and questioning the authority of Phonographic Performance Ltd., (PPL) in collecting license fees and issuing licenses for usage of copyrighted music in public places and commercial establishments and various events.
