Convocation Day
The University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), will organize its first Convocation ceremony on April 22 at Techno City USTM. Governor of Meghalaya and visitor of the varsity V. Shanmuganathan will preside over the convocation ceremony. The degrees will be conferred to more than 500 students from the Under Graduate, Post Graduate including Ph D who have passed in the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. The registration for the Convocation is open till April 10.
Farmers’ workshop
The Riwar Mihngi Development Council (RMDC) has invited farmers from Pynursla   to a workshop where experts from the State and Central Government will be present to discuss on the need to revive agricultural practices in the region on April 5 at 10:30 am at the Dorbar Hall, Nenggate, Pynursla.
Natl De-worming Day
National De-worming Day will be held on April 4 at Nongmynsong Dorbor Secondary School, at 10:00 am where the Minister of Health and Family Welfare A.L. Hek will be the chief guest.
Jashn-E-Mahkdoome Sariya
On behalf of Madina Masjid Committee Dhobimohalla, Jhalupara, the annual Urus Mubarak of Jashn-E-Mahkdoome Sariya (Jalsa) ceremony will be held on April 3 on the Madina Masjid premises at 9 pm. Special arrangement would be made for ladies.
Dry day
The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), North Garo Hills has notified that under section 52 (1) of the Meghalaya Excise Act, Dry Day has been declared on April 4 & 11, in areas bordering Assam in connection with General Assembly Election to the Legislative Assembly of Assam – 2016.
