Anderson School celebrates silver jubilee

NONGSTOIN: The Silver Jubilee celebrations of Anderson Higher Secondary School, one of the premier educational institutions of West Khasi Hills District, concluded on Monday.
Shillong MP Vincent Pala was the chief guest during the closing function while MBOSE Chairman, E P Kharbhih was the guest of honour.
Hundreds of invitees including parents and relatives of the students witnessed the colourful events performed by students, teachers and alumni of the school.
Addressing the gathering, Pala lauded the efforts of the founder of the school and was all praise for the school managing committee and the Principal, W.A. Sohkhlet, for running the educational institution efficiently.
He also announced the sanctioning of Rs 25 lakh for the construction of the school library.
Nongstoin MLA D.S Jyndiang was alos present on the occasion. It may be mentioned that the school was founded by Handerson Syiemlieh on March 6, 1991, and in a short span of time it has become one of the top schools in the district providing quality education to the students.
