SHILLONG: In an indication that a fake driving license racket has been operating in the State, as many as 147 fake driving licenses were seized in the city. H.F. Khongsit, DTO, East Khasi Hills, lodged a complaint that during verification of driving licenses belonging to applicants for mobile connection sent by Director-II, Department of Telecommunication, Shillong, 147 driving licenses were found to be fake.Police said that a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated.
