A meeting of JACATAM will be held on April 30 at Youth Hostel at 11 AM to discuss pending issues concerning the teachers. All teachers’ associations have been asked to attend the meet.
The general council meeting of Ieng Rasong Sports & Cultural Club will be held on May 7 at Shillong Club at 2 PM.
Sugar
ISS grade Sugar 30 under TPDS for the month of November 2015 has been released and will be distributed through the respective fair price shops in East Khasi Hills to APL, BPL, & AAY card holders in urban and rural areas at the scale of 3 kg per card at Rs 20 per kg.
Programme
West Jaintia Hills District Rural Development Agency, Jowai organised a one day interactive programme for sharing of ideas for implementation of MGNREGA in Jowai on Wednesday. DRDA officials from East and West Jaintia Hills, BDOs from Mylliem Block, East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi, and from Laskein, Amlarem and Thadlaskein Blocks of West Jaintia Hills were present in the programme, besides others.
Sports meet
Organising secretary of United Hynniewtrep Movement, Dapkupar Nongrum, inaugurated the first inter school meet at Madan Kyrdem at Kyrdem village on Wednesday. 19 schools are participating in the event which will culminate on April 29.
