ICAR training cum awareness programme

SHILLONG: To commemorate the visionary programme of the Prime Minister “MeraGaonMeraGaurav” (My village, My pride), a daylong training cum awareness programme was conducted at Mawbsein village by the scientists of  ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill (NEH) Region, Umiam.
The programme was attended by farmers from the three villages of Mawblang, Mawkyrdep and Nongpyrdet. The day long training elaborated on sustainable practice of agriculture and livelihood improvement. A scientists and farmer’s interaction was a major part of the programme where the queries of the farmers were answered by the scientists.
