One dead in road mishap
One person died on the spot after his vehicle fell into a gorge at Mawryngkneng. The incident happened on Sunday afternoon, when a truck (MH-4GC-2750) fell into a gorge at Mawryngkneng leading to the death of the driver.
Suicide attempt at Nehru Park
One person tried to commit suicide at Nehru Park, Umiam. The incident happened on Sunday, when  one Franky Kharsati attempted to commit suicide by slitting the nerves of his left hand, at Nehru Park, Umiam (RB). He was shifted to a hospital at Shillong..
ATM fraud
Radha Shyam Prasad lodged a complaint that on May 2, one Vijay Kumar Srivastava, who claimed himself to be an employee of SBI ATM Branch, Mumbai, fraudulently withdrew Rs. 68,649 from his account.
Theft
On May 9 between 2 am and 3 am, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti Alto car (ML-05D-2693) belonging to Monojit Chakravorty from Laban, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
On May 8 at about 5.20 am, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer belonging to Dikamber Toppo from his residence at Lower Lachumiere, Shillong.
On May 6 around 7.30 am, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 1,50,000 from the residence of Belda Slong at Lama Villa, Shillong.
Pradeep Pillai lodged a complaint that on May 5 around 4 pm, one Harsat Ali and Tanuyara Khatun stole Rs. 4 lakhs from his residence at Harisabha, Laban, Shillong.
On May 3 at about 8.45 am, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone belonging to Daffiria Hilaria Mylliemngap from St. Anthony’s College, Shillong.
On May 2 around 7 pm, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone belonging to Sanbor Roy Thangkhiew from Iewduh, Shillong.
Accident
On May 7 around 11.15 pm, one scooty (ML-05L-6438) ridden by Danny Kharbani (36 yrs), knocked down H.R Hajong (50 yrs), CRPF personnel of 67th Bn, Shillong at Police Bazar, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to CH Shillong
Threat
Rimeki Sana, Headman, Mukhaialong village (EJH) lodged a complaint that on May 4 at about 7 pm, one Dinlang Phyllei threatened the villagers with dire consequences.
