VIP treatment for voters

SHILLONG: It will be a red carpet welcome for the voters who arrive in four polling stations in Tura on Monday.
The State Election department has set up four model polling stations to give the voters all comforts.
Chief Electoral Officer Frederick Kharkongor said the intention of setting up of four model polling stations was aimed at giving the voters some comforts.
The four model polling stations have been set up in North Tura and South Tura Assembly constituencies.
“There will be red carpet welcome  for the voters and we will also give them flowers,” Kharkongor said.
Moreover, there will be a waiting area with drinking water facilities in the designated four polling stations.
“The special arrangement for the voters is on a trial basis and this will be emulated in future,” the official said.
