SHILLONG: GHADC Deputy CEM, Augustine R. Marak, on Thursday met Transport Minister H.D.R. Lyngdoh and demanded immediate release of GHADC money to the tune of Rs.20 lakhs pending with the Transport department.
While speaking to reporters later, Marak said, “The State government through the Transport department will have to pay Rs.20 lakhs to the GHADC.”
“The State government has allocated Rs.54 lakhs whereas the remaining Rs.20 lakhs is yet to be released; hence, we ask the State government to release the principal amount along with interests,” he said.
The Deputy CEM informed that the minister has asserted that he would examine the matter.
