Teachers’ panel formed to fight liquor menace

SHILLONG: The principals and teachers of schools in Nongmensong and Demseiniong area formed a joint action committee of schools during a meeting here on Monday to check the illegal sale of liquor.
All together 10 school principals attended the meeting.
The committee aims to force the concerned authorities to take action against  the illegal round the clock sale of liquor in Urkaliar area.
The office bearers of the committee include Diston Rynjah, chairman, Julia Nongkynrih, secretary, Johnson Mawthoh, publicity secretary, Simon Joseph spokesperson and S.K Joshi, advisor.
One teaching staff from each school of the area was appointed as member.
