Meet on separate Garoland

SHILLONG: The Garo Hills State Movement Committee (GHSMC) met at its head office on Saturday under the chairmanship of Nikman Ch Marak and formed a ‘drafting committee’ to prepare a fresh memorandum on the separate Garo state movement to be sent to the Prime Minister.
The committee comprises of leaders from various NGOs and will accommodate scholars, educationists, elders and leaders of different communities living in Garo Hills, the GHSMC said.
