Diarrhoea control, population stabilization programmes launched

Nongpoh: The office of the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Nongpoh, on Monday organized a day long programme, discussing various preventive measures on the consequences of diarrhoea and world population stabilization, aiming at controlling death rate caused by diarrhoea especially to the infants and children.
Nongpoh MDC Rona Khymdeit, District Medical & Health Officer Dr. S. Lyngdoh, Dr. E Lyngdoh, Joint Director of Health Service, Dr. Dohling, Joint Director Family Planning, W.K. Blah, President Nongpoh Area Women Welfare Association O.B. Ranee, president, RAWA, medical officers, ASHA and staff from the Health department, attended the programme which is aimed at eradicating the death rate of infants due to diarrhoea and to stabilize the world population. A panel discussion and quiz competition was also conducted on intensified diarrhoea control and world population stabilization deliberating on the increasing rate of mortality of infants due to diarrhoea.
