Bank burgled in city

SHILLONG: Bank robberies seem to have become the order of the day in the State with another case being reported in the city.
Police informed that on July 10, unidentified miscreants managed to break through the iron grill of the Wahthapbru branch of Indian Bank in the city and stole jewelries worth Rs 3.5 lakh from the lockers.
Assistant manager of the bank, Renendu Bisharat, has filed an FIR in this regard.
When contacted, police said the CCTV footage was not clear and added that they were on the job to trace the robbers.
