SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union has expressed surprise at the decision of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) to conduct examinations to fill up vacancies to the post of Inspector of Excise and Lower Division Assistants (LDAs).
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the KSU opposed the MPSC decision to hold the examinations on the same day and stated that the decision will affect unemployed youths who have applied for both examinations.
The District Selection Committee, Ri-Bhoi, will also hold examination for the post of LDAs on the same day at Ri-Bhoi.
The KSU requested the MPSC and the Ri-Bhoi DSC to hold the examinations on separate dates for the benefit of the job seekers.
