Pentecost believers injured in stone pelting
One Rikimi Pajuh of Tongseng Nongkhlieh village (EJH) lodged a complaint that during the intervening nights of July 11 and 16, miscreants pelted stones at the houses of Pentecost believers causing damage and injuries to some members. They also threatened the Pentecost believers with dire consequences.
Explosives seized
On July 29 at around 3 pm, police arrested two persons Iaishah Khongkliem and Jhin Sumer from Nongkwai village under Pynursla Police Station (EKH) and recovered/seized five gelatin sticks, ten detonators attached with fuse wires from their possession.
Pedestrians knocked down
On July 28 around 8.30 pm, one Bolero (Ml-05J-7252) driven by Samlang Nongkhlaw knocked down two pedestrians viz., Pynbiangbor Kharmawphlang (32 yrs) and Jamailang Kharmawphlang (20 yrs) at Mawpynthih village under Madanrting PS (EKH) causing injuries to them. Victims were removed to CH Shillong.
Hospital quarter burgled
Dr. Jephilla R Marak lodged a complaint that on July 27 between 10.30 am and 1 pm, miscreants broke into her quarter at Civil Hospital Campus, Tura (WGH) and stole, one digital camera valued around Rs. 11,000 one laptop computer valued around Rs. 27,000, cash Rs. 5,000 and documents / keys of two vehicles.
NGT ban violation
On July 27, Police detected one truck (AS-01-CC-0084) driven by one Agrifa Singkli transporting coal in violation of NGT order.
Theft at tea stall
A woman identified as Yoosanki Suchiang lodged a complaint that on July 25 night, miscreants broke into her tea stall at Ladrymbai (EJH) and committed theft.
Timbers stolen after break-in
Terakchi K Marak, IFS, Assistant Conservator of Forest in charge Simsanggre Range (EGH) lodged a complaint that on July 24 at around 5 pm, it was detected that miscreants broke into the strong room of the Forest IB at Simsanggre (EGH) and stole the sawn timbers.
Theft at cement shop
One Barun Kumar Sharma lodged a complaint that on July 22 at around 8.30 pm, miscreants broke into his shop at Jaintia Cement Market (EJH) and committed theft.
Man kills cattle out of fury
One Yolang Pulang lodged a complaint that on June 10, 2016, one Sitang Pulang created nuisance in her residence at Morapuchai Nongjngi village, killed the cattle and threatened the complainant with dire consequences.
